So what do Enzymes do??

Well without enzymes we could not exist. Our body's reactions would be to slow for life to be possible!

Digestive enzymes are like scissors that cut up the foods we eat into basic building blocks that our body then absorbs and reassembles to build cells, tissues, organs, glands and entire body systems, if our digestion is compromised so is OUR HEALTH!

So if our body is getting enzymes in the food we eat is there a need to supplement with digestive enzymes?

Oh hell yes, caffeine, alcohol, illness, pregnancy and stress all take their toll on our enzyme reserves, as we age our body also produces less enzymes but the main cause for digestive enzyme shortage is the modern diets, unfortunately cooking your food destroy's almost 100% of the naturally occuring enzymes and even raw foods may not contain as many enzymes as they once did due to environmental factors, depleted soil, and preservation techniques.

So if you you suffer from bloating, acid reflux, inflamation, food allergies, etc you may have a lack of digestive enzymes which gives you an incomplete digestion.

I personally take 1 tablet with every meal and I find this has really helped me with my digestion.

Good brands out there are Solgar, Nutri and Lamberts.
