ABS Training (My Journey)
Ok so I get asked a lot how did I get my abs????
The fact of the matter is that you will not see your abs if you do not eat correctly and in some cases do some cardio vascular work, and then people ask me " can I not just do loads of abs work? " My answer is yes you can and you will probably build a good core but unfortunately if you have a layer of fat you will not be able to see them!!
When I first started to train my main aim was to have amazing abs, I did not care about anything else apart from that, so every day before I did my weights or cardio session I would spend 1 hour doing abs and those that trained at Spikes Gym in Leicester will remember this, I clearly didn't have a clue about what I was doing, like most people I thought doing loads of abs work would get me great abs but months went by and I still couldn't see my abs, so what was I doing wrong, I asked myself, this was one of the first things that got me interested to learn more about the body and how to eat properly, so once I realized that I had to start eating correctly my abs started to make an appearance, surprise surprise!!!
Now the fact I did 1 hour of abs work everyday was crazy but the fact is once the fat was off my abs looked great, they were thick and with great symmetry, was it the right thing to do?? I don’t know really, if it were today I maybe would have done it differently but whatever I did worked. Today I spend the whole of 10 minutes on abs maybe 3 times per week and that is enough to stimulate them.
So if you are a beginner and you want to have great abs, first look into your diet and then work really hard on your abs, I wouldn't suggest 1 hour every day but at least 20 to 30 minutes 4 times per week.
Remember nothing comes easy, if you want it you have to be willing to work hard be dedicated and very consistent.
Train Hard, be consistent and above all stay safe.
