Reverse Dieting ( My Journey ).

On the 2nd of March 2014 I decided I was going on a diet to get lean for my Holiday in Greece in June, I started my diet at the weight of 11.11 Stones, training 5 times per week once per day with cardio starting at 30 minutes and then being increased all the way to 40 minutes twice per day towards the end. My goal weight was 10.7 stones and my holiday was on the 11th June 2014, sure enough the 11th June arrived and I reached my goal of 10.7 Stones at a leanish look, comfortable enough for the beach!

My Macros before I went to Greece were 170g Protein - 170g Carbs - 90g Fats on Training days and 170g Protein - 140g Carbs - 100g Fat on non training days.

I was in Greece for one week where I did not count any calories and just had what I wanted within reason, When I got back from Holiday my weight was 10.10 Stones so i had gained 3 pounds in that week.

The day after I got back I decided to start my reverse dieting, so the aim was to increase my calories very slowly starting with my Protein and then my carbs, fast forward to the 31st August 2014, the day of the UKBFF Leicester British Qualifier for bodybuilding where I decided to compete with 2 days left to the competition.

So let me tell you about my training and cardio from the day after i got back from Greece and also how my calories increases with Reverse dieting.

Training: 4 times per week

Cardio: NONE

Macros: training days Protein 204g - Carbs 260g - Fats 90g - Non Training days Protein 204g - Carbs 230g - Fats 100g

Weight on the day of the show 10.3 Stones so I had actually lost 7 pounds and thats without cardio and on more calories overall, I placed 3rd at the show and looked in good shape and that is all down to REVERSE DIETING!!

I have now got Clients doing this and they are having the exact same results that I did and loving life!

Now I am not saying this is the only way to do things, All i am saying is that it works for me and its working for a lot of other people too.

Like always before you start anything do your own research and make sure you understand what you are doing, don't just do it for the sake of it.
