Today I wanted to talk to you guys about Adrenal fatigue, I have talked about this in the past

but I feel its important to bring it up again, so lets get into it.

If you have the below symptoms you are more than likely suffering from some sort of Adrenal Fatigue.

1.You wake up feeling tired and have the need for excess caffeine.

2.You frequently feel overwhelmed.

3.You have trouble falling or staying asleep at night.

4.You feel upset, emotional, frustrated, annoyed for no reason

5.You're lethargic and sluggish most of the day.

6. When you get a lot of colds it takes a long time to recover.

Now what can we do to try fix it?

The 2 most important things are DIET and SLEEP

Now its not just what we eat that can be beneficial but WHEN we eat.

Going long periods of time without food can cause a lot of adrenal fatigue,

if you currently suffering from the symptoms above this is 100% not

optimal.

In contrary to popular belief for someone with adrenal fatigue they should NOT

eat breakfast as soon as they wake up, the reason for this is because cortisol

levels are usually high for the first 2 hours of waking up, so eating breakfast

after 2 hours would be ideal.

After that frequent small meals will help a lot.

Obviously what you eat is key to recover so a balanced diet of good fats, lean

protein and good carbs is essential, the body needs good quality nutrients to

work efficiently.

One important thing is to keep salt in your diet but not just any salt, pink Himalayan

is my recommendation.

Now lets take a look at what we need to avoid.

Alcohol, coffee, sugar and any other stimulants must be avoided, You have to let your adrenals fully recover from the stress that hammered them. When you take in caffeine and sugar it prevents the adrenals from producing the right level of energy naturally. The same is true with alcohol.

Drinking to relax inhibits the adrenals from performing that task on their own.

Stay away from trans fats, they use up enzymes that the good fats would be using to help make healthy cell membranes, nerves, etc.

Lastly but not least we must eliminate refined sugars, the quick surge you get in blood sugar from eating sugar will result in a massive insulin slump leaving you with low blood sugar which is a huge stress on the adrenals.
